Argue the case for against capital punishment.
Capital punishment is still popular nowadays. As you can see, there are many cases of criminal had been killed by electrocution, poisoning or shooting in over the world because of killing, kidnapping or rapping people. But in my opinion, death penalty is not the good way to punish criminal. When in high school, I had been taught that if I had done something wrong, I have to do something to solve my mistake so that’s means if criminal had done some bad thing, even very bad thing, death penalty is not the good way to solve what they had done. “Capital punishment is as fundamentally wrong as a cure for crime as charity is wrong as a cure for poverty.” Henry Ford said. There are three main points what make death penalty be the worst punishment: no deterrence, no humanitarian and expensive.
How do you think about killing people because they killed another people? It is quite funny when government nowadays using death penalty to prove that killing another people is the thing we should not do. When someone commits a serious crime, they have to suffer the life without freedom and the fear of being revenge. For the murder, the best way to punish them is let them spend the rest of their life in the jail to work and think about what they had done. They will have time to think about the life they had taken and it is very effectively in making them feeling tormented. They will have a nightmare every single night or seeing the soul whose they killed in their chamber. This way is better in making criminal paid for what they had done than death penalty. As you can see, a criminal who committed a multi murder or children raping and they just have to suffer only one painful moment. They have been killed and everything done while the relative, parents, friends, lover of the victim have to suffer the pain of losing a person whom they love each second. Is it fair if the criminal have just eat and sleep till they have been killed somehow while they have to paid more for what they had done? Even nowadays, they try to invent some ways for criminal don’t be suffering the pain when they are being killed. Electric chair and poisoning are examples. In my opinion, death penalty is a easy way out for serious criminal while they have to do many things to solve their crime. Moreover, we have many effective punishment for criminals, not only death.
People usually think that there is no matter when killing a criminal. They think that because they are not concern with this thing. But if they are the relatives of the criminal, how will they think? Even though, the criminal had committed the crime but with some people, they are still a whole world. How about their parents, their children, their wife/ husband? I know that their sin can be forgiven but how about giving them a chance to solve and offset for the relative of victim. And do you ever think about the person who has responsibly to do the death penalty. Of course that they are paid to do that but it is quite hard for them when their job is taking the life of someone. It is just like the criminal kill a person. So don’t make another people knows the feeling of killing someone. And a criminal, they are still in jail but being given a chance is happy enough for them.

By statistic, California taxpayers have to pay $130 million per year to death penalty cases and California death penalty trials have cost as much as $10.9 million. That is quite a big number of money. We can ban the death penalty and use for helping homeless and poverty. I know that keeping criminal in the jail still cost a lot of money but we can give them a work so they can make money for buying food or clothe in jail.
