How can depression affect people in modern social?
In the current time, depression is a very common issue that has been discussed in media. Depression has been defined as an illness in brain which can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and physical well-being (Wikipedia 2011). Nowadays, depression becomes more popular and dangerous to modern people than it used to be. Depression comes from many sources and exists in many forms. For example there are many elements in school, work and family are leading you to feel depression. ‘Depression is something that makes you lose your sight’ Michael Schenker said. Depression can affect negatively to your body in emotional, health and lifestyle ways.
First of all, I believe that depression affect seriously to human’s emotional. Feeling depression can cause many bad results, such as: having bad mood, lacking of concentrate and suicide. When a person have depression, that’s mean his mood is going down. It will lead him loose his temperature with another people easily and cannot concentrate well in study or work anymore. Bad mood makes his mind feeling uncomfortable and unpleased. This element can influence negative to his through and can make illness become more severe. If a person has suffered depression for a long time, suicide will be is an obvious result when he cannot bear depression anymore. In 2004, Suicide was the 11th leading cause of death in US and every 100000 people died have 10.6 died by suicide. By statistic, up to 15% of people who are having depressed die by suicide. The more people have depression, the much number of suicide case increased. Symptoms aren’t clear in many cases but there are still some slight different of patient’s behavior which people can realize easily to prevent depressed patient from suicide case.

Health is a second thing which depression influence negatively. Three harms which depression can cause are feeling tired, losing weight and being sleepless. When you are having depression or another kind such as stress, the first symptom you will feel is tired. Tired is the way of body react when our mind feeling uncomfortable. For example, we just want to take a sleep after so much stress and expected thing you had suffered in a day. This element is the major key which can decide the level of depression later. If you don’t try to escape from feeling tired and keep keeping it, the obvious harm is you spend all your time in your home to rest. That’s mean you will have no time for another activity else. It will lead you to get a worst mark or lose your job. The connection between you and another people will be shut down and loneliness will come to you. Because of doing nothing all the time, you won’t enjoy eating anymore and your weight is losing every single week. Some time, the high level of depression can make you hard to sleep well in night. These materials can highly harm depressed person and lead them to die because of malnutrition.
The life style of a depressed person is strongly different from before. Depression is a reason which can change human’s behavior in fastest way. When I was in high school, I saw some of my friend suddenly behave in strange way after they got much stress and feeling depression is an obvious result. Depression has ability to change the character of person which is a symptom easy to be realized to diagnose.
In conclusion, depression is not so strange to people nowadays. Depression is an illness so everyone can be got depression in some time in the life. Instead of being afraid of depression, we can enjoy each moment of life by doing hobby, talking with friend or hanging out with family. People also have to leave their stress and pressure in school or work office when come home and take a rest after a long day studying and working.
